FUTURE LIONS SHORTLIST

Future Lions challenges us to solve problems with technology that didn’t exist five years ago. We looked at the Dominican Republic, where two urgent issues collide: the invasion of sargassum seaweed that floods beaches, drives away tourism, and costs the government millions each year; and the massive waste of fruit caused by rising temperatures. Our idea connects both problems with one single, sustainable solution: Fresh Net. A net made from processed sargassum that protects fruit, retaining moisture and preventing overheating. A simple innovation that turns waste into value, giving nature back its balance while supporting local communities.
